Teenager dies from gunshot wound in Ciudad Caucel

On Monday, April 22, a tragedy struck a family in Ciudad Caucel, since one of its members, a minor, was found dead with a gunshot wound.

The death occurred on a property located on 86th Street between 39 and 39-A of the aforementioned subdivision. Where the teenager was alone.

Residents reported that around 1 in the morning they heard gunshots, but they thought they were fireworks from a party in a nearby community, so they did not give it much importance.

In the early morning hours of Monday, the teenager’s parents returned to their house, and when they entered they found their 14-year-old son lying on the floor in the middle of a pool of blood and with a gunshot wound to the head.

They immediately asked for help from the emergency number. Moments later, several agents arrived at the property, as well as paramedics from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP).

The paramedics assessed the teenager, but could only confirm that he was no longer alive.

The agents cordoned off the area and reported the situation to the corresponding authorities. Personnel from the Forensic Medical Service of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived at the scene of the events and took charge of the necessary procedures and the subsequent removal of the body.
