Two young students from Yucatán have become a trend on social networks, after announcing their invention of a motorcycle that runs on water, which caused a great surprise among their followers.
The news of having created a motorcycle that runs on water has generated great expectations among Facebook users since it has been a great achievement, not only for the young inventors but for the motorcycle industry, as this type of option is not currently available on the market.
They are two students from the Southern Regional Technological University of Tekax, who made this project for their mechatronics class.
“One more achievement, a functional motorcycle with water,” shared Mario Góngora, one of the two students on his social networks.
The reactions were immediate, so the publication went viral in a matter of minutes, and hundreds responded with good wishes and congratulations.
Is it possible for a motorcycle to run on water?
A few years ago the Yamaha company presented a project where the idea is for water to work in a closed circuit. Forced through a pressure pump, it goes to the engine through an inlet channel, making the engine run, and then returns back to the pressure pump through an outlet channel of the engine itself.
According to Yamaha, at the time, the new invention would be ready by 2025. Another online news outlet stated that a man created a motorcycle that ran on water, with which he traveled 500 kilometers.
