Police officers rescue a subject who was about to be lynched in Peto, Yucatán

The subject was seized by residents of Peto when he entered a plot to steal.

Ángel “N” was about to experience the fury of the residents and owners of the plots of the Francisco Sarabia neighborhood, in Peto, after they captured him, they tied his hands and feet, and they were just about to lynch him when the Municipal Police arrived and was able to rescue him.

After several thefts in plots and because the authorities haven’t done anything, the people of Peto agreed to detain the young man, and teach him a lesson.

Allegedly under the influence of drugs, on Thursday, April 11th, Ángel entered a plot on 59th Street in the Sarabia neighborhood to take whatever he found on his way, to sell it and buy more drugs, only, on this occasion, he did not count on the fact that the locals set up a trap for him.

Angel was cornered, captured, and tied up by hands and feet. The mob was about to lynch him, but fortunately, Municipal Police officers intervened and he was rescued from the people’s fury.

The agents took Ángel to the public prison, where he will spend administrative hours and, if no formal complaint against him is filed before the FGE, he will be released.
