One more fatal accident on the Mérida Periférico

On Wednesday, April 17th, a motorcyclist lost his life after being hit by a Nissan Sedan car on the inner side of the Mérida Periférico, half a kilometer before the exit to Chichí Suárez.

It is not known precisely how the events occurred, but it is presumed that the motorcyclist enter the lane at the same moment that the car was advancing on the side, and the driver could not stop and run over him.

The person on the motorcycle fell and apparently, a blow to the head took his life instantly, despite wearing a protective helmet.

Traffic experts are in charge of determining responsibilities in this tragic accident that claimed the life of a person – again – on the Mérida Periférico.

On Tuesday, April 16th, just 4 kilometers to the north, a pedestrian was killed by a car that was going down the bridge at the City Center exit.
