Morena’s candidate for councilor arrested for murder in Mexico City

Hugo Torres, candidate for councilor of Benito Juárez for Morena and who is a member of Miguel Hidalgo former mayor Víctor Hugo Romo’s first circle, was arrested along with a woman for the murder of a man that occurred on Thursday, April 25th, in the Portales neighborhood of Mexico City.

According to the official report, police officers went to the Emperadores 112 home, Colonia Portales, Benito Juárez district of Mexico City, for the report of an unconscious person.

But when the police officers arrived on site, they found out that the man on the floor no longer had vital signs.

Upon arrival, they observed inside the building a man lying face down on the floor with blood stains.

Paramedics determined that the 37-year-old man no longer had vital signs; Hugo and a woman identified as Alejandra, who said she was the wife of the deceased, were there.

Both were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry agent, to determine responsibility for the crime.

Experts from the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office arrived to carry out the corresponding investigation and lift the body that was transferred to the ministerial amphitheater, where the legal autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of his death.

Hugo served as political and territorial operator for Víctor Hugo Romo, former mayor of Miguel Hidalgo.
