Morena presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum campaigns Merida

Together with Joaquín Díaz Mena, Rommel Pacheco and political figures belonging to Morena, PT and the Green Party, presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum met with Yucatecan citizens in the Parque de la Paz.

The three candidates took their time to greet and take photos with citizens, receiving praise from all their supporters.

Rommel Pacheco was the first to speak, welcoming Claudia Sheinbaum to the state of Yucatán and the city of Mérida, encouraging the public to support the presidential candidate.

For his part, “Huacho” Díaz Mena, gave a speech of commitment to the Yucatecans promising to be on par with the new reforms with the “Maya Renaissance” program to develop Yucatán on the right path.

When Claudia Sheinbaum took the floor, she spoke about the various proposals and programs, both at the national level and the programs for Yucatán, which are:

  • Support for women from 60 to 64
  • Support for boys and girls in basic education
  • More high school educational facilities
  • Better salaries for basic education teachers
  • The pension system
  • The entry to Yucatán of the new IMSS system
  • Strengthening INFONAVIT to increase to one million homes
  • A program for photovoltaic panels in state homes

To finish the event, the national anthem was sung and a few Yucatecan Bombas were dedicated to the candidate.
