Money lender murdered in Tizimín, Yucatán

A tragic event alerted the police authorities on Thursday, April 25th, when they found the lifeless body of a man with alleged stab wounds inside a property in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood, in the municipality of Tizimín.

According to preliminary information, the now deceased was identified as Rusell “N”, 37 years old, a well-known money lender in this municipality.

Around 8:30 p.m. Rusell’s sister went to the property located on 48th Street (between 77th and 79th) and when she did not receive a response, she entered the house and found a horrendous scene.

His brother was lying in his bedroom, among blood stains and the place was disorganized, the drawer where he kept his money was broken into, so it is presumed that the motive for the crime was robbery, although a version that circulates on social networks indicates a fight inside the property.

The woman called the 911 emergency service and within minutes agents of the municipal police and the Ministry of Public Security arrived to learn of the facts and begin the corresponding legal proceedings.
