On Sunday, April 29th, a person attacked another with a machete, after an alleged argument over a parking space in Merida’s Plaza Galerías shopping mall.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the shopping plaza, where the SSP ambulance arrived with paramedics to treat the injured person.
According to witnesses, the driver of a compact car apparently entered the lane in the wrong direction to occupy an available parking space.
At the same time, another motorist also wanted to take the same parking space.
When the two drivers faced each other to enter the box, they began to argue, but one of them, angry at the incident, took out a machete and attacked the other.
Citizens called the 911 emergency service and paramedics, as well as SSP police officers, arrived at the scene to arrest the aggressor, while the victim was taken to a hospital.
