A man was executed in the middle of the tourist area of Cozumel, in front of the Puerta Maya terminal. The victim was a commission agent.
There was a report of detonations, and a man wounded by a gunshot, received by the C5 personnel minutes before 9:00 p.m.
Units from the municipal police and the Secretary of the Navy (SEMAR) arrived at the scene and confirmed the events; so they requested an ambulance.
When the paramedics arrived, the person – who apparently, worked as a commission agent between 55 and 60 years old – no longer had vital signs.
Until now, it is unknown how many shots he took, although the personnel working at the international maritime terminal claimed to have heard at least four or five detonations.
The authorities have not yet verified information in this regard. With this fact, there are five executed so far this year and 35 in the current administration.
