Great scare for the passengers of the Silao-Merida flight

A VivaAerobus aircraft dragged its tail when taking off from Silao, Guanajuato, towards Mérida, causing fear among the passengers and crew members

Passengers of VivaAerobús flight 9191 from Silao, Guanajuato, to Mérida got a tremendous scare on Sunday, April 8th, while taking off from the Bajío Airport, when the Airbus A320-271N aircraft with registration XA-VIH, type A2DN dragged part of the tail at the time of take off at 2:58 p.m. local time.

However, the aircraft crew calmed the passengers, and the plane was able to continue its route to the Mérida air terminal, where it landed at 4:43 p.m., that is, one hour 45 minutes later.

The passengers descended in an orderly fashion, but the crew is currently the subject of an investigation by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) to determine the causes of the incident, which is why the plane remains in flight. position # 11 at the Mérida International Airport, awaiting for technicians and supervisors of the department as well as the airline, to conduct an inspection.
