From April to November, the Toh Bird Festival 2024 will be held in Yucatán

The main venue for the event will be the port of Progreso.

With the port of Progreso as its main headquarters, the Toh Bird Festival 2024 will be held from this month of April until November, featuring cultural activities, recreational workshops and tours of sites where birds interact.

The event is promoted by Pronatura Peninsula de Yucatán A.C., whose director, María Andrade Hernández, highlighted that the Festival has been held uninterruptedly for 23 years and is the only one of its kind in Mexico.

For this year, 44 different activities are included, with an average of five a month, in order to conclude in November.

April Activities
Regarding this month’s activities, this Wednesday, April 17, the online talk will take place: “Getting to know the reddish heron: conservation in Yucatán“, by the coordinator of Pronatura’s Bird Conservation program, Ernesto Gómez Uc. On April 25, a drawing contest will be held in Celestún; On April 25 and 26 there will be a bird watching workshop in Pronatura and on April 28 there will be a Festival stand and a bike tour in Progreso.
