Construction worker dies after falling from second floor in Komchen

A construction worker of about 50 years of age lost his life after slipping while working on the second floor of a property located in the Komchén community, in Merida, Yucatán.

According to his co-workers, they were working normally when suddenly, due to some carelessness, one of them fell from the second floor from a height of approximately 4 meters.

The worker did not have any type of protective equipment and due to the strong impact on the skull, he lost his life instantly.

His colleagues notified 911 and minutes later personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived to cordon off the area and carry out the corresponding procedures.

In addition, Semefo personnel arrived on site to remove the body and perform the corresponding autopsy.
