President Andrés Manuel López Obrador arrived in Yucatán on Friday, April 26, as part of his biweekly visits to the Peninsula. However, this time no meetings were included with Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal or representatives of his administration.

When asking the State Government about this latest presidential visit to our state, at first they said they were not aware. They later reported that the president arrived Friday in Campeche by air, boarded the Maya Train, and went to Calkiní, then continued to the new hotel in Uxmal.

Already in Yucatecan territory, the President of the Republic went in the afternoon to Air Base No. 8 in Mérida and from there to a hotel on Paseo de Montejo, where he stayed and spent the night.

The State Government added that on Saturday, April 27th, López Obrador was at the Teya Maya Train station, and from there he left for Cancún, Quintana Roo. There were no meetings with Yucatecan authorities. It should be remembered that the governor is on tour abroad.

In Quintana Roo, Governor Mara Lezama announced that she would accompany the President during his tour of that state.
