Yucatán is still the safest state in Mexico

Likewise, it is the first of the entities with the lowest cases of vehicle theft with 0.44 cases. The rate is significantly lower than the national rate of 11.37 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Another fact worth highlighting is that no case of feminicide or extortion was recorded, this being a historical minimum in the State.

Likewise, Yucatán ranked second with the lowest rate of home robbery and third in robbery from a pedestrian, registering .48 cases and .16 per 100 thousand inhabitants, respectively, both historical lows and below the national average of 6.15 and 8.25.

The above is a result of the security policy led by the state government, through actions and schemes such as Yucatán Seguro, with which the police are provided with equipment, technology and training, to go from 2,248 cameras to 6,775 and from 100 highway arches at 219.
