From the Sergio León Chavez Stadium, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Xóchitl Gálvez, presidential candidate of the coalition “Fuerza y Corazón Por Mexico” signed and sealed with blood a document in which she promised not to eliminate social programs.

Xóchitl Gálvez, presidential candidate of the coalition “Force and Heart for Mexico,” sighed a letter in her own blood to make it clear that all the current populist social programs of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, will not be eliminated once she wins the presidency.

Morena wants to make you think that we are going to remove the social programs (…) I will make a pact and I will sign it before a notary public and the corresponding authorities and the beneficiaries of social programs.

Xóchitl Gálvez, presidential candidate of the coalition “Force and Heart for Mexico,” read the document in front of several thousand people at the Irapuato Stadium:

-For my children and the memory of my ancestors, I take this oath before the laws of my country, I publicly testify to this commitment to you citizens and the beneficiaries of social programs, I, Xóchitl Gálvez, when I assume the position of president of the Republic, social programs that are a right of all Mexicans will not be eliminated, and as I am convinced that our compatriots deserve more, I will increase them.

Galvez assured that in his government the pension for older adults will be from the age of 60.

Xóchitl Gálvez took a knife and made a small cut on her finger. At the same time, she signed the pact and sealed it with her blood.

On her first day of campaigning, the leader of the coalition formed by the National Action Party (PAN), the Party of the Institutional Revolution (PRI) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), visited Guanajuato, one of Mexico’s most violent states.

From Irapuato, and accompanied by the candidate for the government of the state, Mrs. Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, Xochitl Galvez spoke of her security strategy proposal, which includes better working conditions and decent salaries for police officers.

She said her top priority will be public safety, and to create a fund for children who have been orphaned to receive a scholarship. In addition, she pledged to carry out the search for missing persons in Mexico.

The opposition presidential flag recalled two massacres in Guanajuato: the first, in Salvatierra, where 11 young people died, and the second in Celaya, where five medical students were killed.

Galvez proposed the creation of a new maximum security prison to lock those responsible for both crimes.

That is where we’re going to send those who dare to continue hurting our young people. Such as the murderers of the young people in Salvatierra, and the medical students from Celaya, she said.

Xochitl also announced that she will double the number of National Guard officers, and return federal programs to strengthen local police corporations.

You’re gonna have the bravest president. No more hugs, we need to regain peace and tranquility here in Guanajuato, she said.

In the June 2 elections, the largest in the country’s history, 20,375 federal seats will be renewed in Mexico, including the presidency, the 500 seats of the Lower House of Congress and 128 of the Senate, as well as nine state governments including Yucatan and Mexico City.
