A woman who allegedly suffers a mental illness was arrested in the Villas de Oriente neighborhood of Kanasín, after being caught eating a feline on a public street.
The neighbors called 911 when they saw the macabre scene on a street near where there is a chapel under construction, and a few minutes later police officers arrived and arrested the woman, and the area was secured.
Subsequently, personnel from the Forensic Veterinary Service arrived at the scene to collect the first evidence, as well as the body of the cat.
It turned out that the little animal was already lifeless lying on the street when the woman approached and began to devour it to the astonishment of the neighbors. The people of the area asked the authorities to give the necessary attention to the woman since he was recently seen drinking water from puddles on the street, since he suffers a mental illness.
