The Mexican Caribbean starts Semana Santa with more than 500,000 tourists

The state of Quintana Roo continues to consolidate its tourism leadership, proof of this is that recently the State Secretariat of Tourism reported that the Mexican Caribbean registered during the week of March 16 to 22 an average occupancy of 76.4%, with an influx greater than 521 thousand 160 tourists.

In the weekly report for the same period, it is mentioned that 32 cruises were received in Cozumel and 17 in Mahahual, which are added to the accumulated monthly would give a total of 154. Likewise, for the week of March 25 to 31, the arrival of 13 ships to Mahahual and 32 in Cozumel is scheduled.

On the other hand, in airport operations from March 16 to 22, a total of 2,165 arrivals were recorded, 2,014 in Cancun, and the rest in Cozumel, Tulum, and Chetumal airports.

Finally, the Mexican Caribbean had connectivity during February with 125 cities, 97 in the United States and Canada, 13 countries in Latin America, and 15 in Europe.
