More than 70 pets were sterilized in Progreso

This weekend, at the Flamboyanes community, another day of canine and feline sterilization was carried out, in which this service was provided to 71 animals. The initiative was organized by the Progreso City Council, through the Ecology subdirectorate, with the Coordination of Medical Health Services in Yucatán.

This is to promote responsible ownership and well-being of pets, and to avoid unwanted litters that may end up homeless, as stated by the head of Ecology, Augusto José Navarrete Hevia. Finally, it is worth mentioning the sterilization was free of charge, and the authorities offered the service at the communities of Chicxulub and Chelem.
