Layda Sansores, Governor of Campeche orders the removal of 2 officials from office

Layda Sansores ordered the separation from the position of the undersecretary of the Penitentiary System, Prevention and Social Reintegration, and the director of the State Preventive Police.

On Friday, March 22, the governor of Campeche, Layda Sansores, ordered the resignation of two officials from office.

One is the undersecretary of the Penitentiary System for Prevention and Social Reintegration, and the person in charge of carrying out the transfers of people who have been kidnapped.

And the director of the State Preventive Police, who was in charge during the operation at the Kobén Social Reintegration Center, a fact that motivated the police protest.

In a video, the governor presented a “public apology” for messing up, she conveyed her message.

She also highlighted that her administration has been progressing toward increasing benefits for the people of Campeche.

Among other points, adjusting schedules in operating shifts stands out; the improvement of weapons, equipment, and labor benefits for the police officers in the state of Campeche.
