The body of a man was found lifeless inside the Gran Sahara hotel in Playa del Carmen.
The lifeless body of a person was found inside the Gran Sahara Hotel, which is located in the center of the city of Playa del Carmen. The man decided to take his own life, in his hotel room, and he notified his wife of his intentions the night before.
The woman called the hotel located on the corner of 15th Avenue and 8th Street, a few meters from the Municipal Palace, but due to business policies, the hotel personnel did not tell her if her husband was staying there or not, so she called the emergency number 911 in Cancún.
Given the woman’s certainty that her husband was staying at this hotel and her husband’s message indicating that he was thinking of committing suicide, police officers were sent to the Gran Sahara Hotel to investigate.
Once the Citizen Security agents arrived at the hotel in question, they found the man’s body, and the paramedics only confirmed that he no longer had vital signs.
This is the 12th suicide registered so far this year in the municipality of Solidaridad, and the second one in the month of March.
