Fire destroys car on Mérida’s Avenida Yucatán

The fire destroyed a car that was stopped at the red light at the intersection of Yucatán Avenue and José Vasconcelos Avenue, which is the one that goes to the Monument to the Haciendas.

Apparently, it was a short circuit that caused this incident, from which no injuries were reported, but the damage was total.

The accident forced police officers to delimit the area to prevent other vehicles nearby that could be damaged, in addition to removing pedestrians so that no one was injured.

The firefighters arrived minutes later to put out the flames, and it was observed that the car had been destroyed, so a tow truck was requested, as was the corresponding insurance company.
