Armando Manzanero Theater reopens its doors with great cultural offering

This important venue reopens to host stage performances and quality musical shows.

After receiving maintenance and rehabilitation works, the Armando Manzanero theater, one of the most important cultural venues in the State, reopened its doors to welcome the public.

Waterproofing and maintenance works were carried out in bathrooms and dressing rooms, while the electrical installation and lighting system were modernized. The façade and lobby were painted, and the carpet and flooring were also changed. The State Government allocated nine million pesos for these tasks.

For the benefit of the general public, artists, promoters and creators, activities have been reactivated in this important cultural venue, to host stage performances and quality musical shows.

A few days before the Easter holidays, this venue located on 62nd Street between 59 and 61 of the Historic Center offers families an interesting agenda; It has 898 seats and inside is the Manuel Barbachano Ponce National Cinematheque, with 277 seats, which has renewed audiovisual equipment to improve the spectator experience.

The Armando Manzanero Theater reopens with the following shows:

  • March 15th: Yucatecan Regional Theater featuring Nani Namu at 8:00 p.m.
  • March 19th: “The Perfect Lovers,” featuring Mexican actors Victoria Ruffo, Jorge Salinas, Cristian de la Fuente, Pablo Montero, Sherlyn, Ivonne Montero and Andie Ruiz at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 
  • March 22nd: “The Amazing Digital Circus”, at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The Daniel Ayala Pérez theater was also remodeled with an investment of 8.8 million pesos. The carpets, paint and waterproofing were rehabilitated.

The Daniel Ayala Theater is located on 60th Street between 59 and 61, with a capacity for 614 people, and it will also reopen with the following shows:

  • March 15th: Comedian Ricardo O’Farril featuring his Falacia- Rehabilitado tour, at 9:00 p.m.,
  • March 19th: the acclaimed choir Voces sin Fronteras will present “Una noche en la Habana”, at 8:00 p.m., more information at 999 271 2765.
  • March 20th, Yucatecan comedian Tila María Sesto will perform, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; 
  • March 31st, Qué Riiico theatrical company presents “Aventurera del Mayab”, at 8:00 p.m.
