Another case of poisoned dogs in Yucatán, this time in Peto

Peto is a municipality belonging to the State of Yucatán in the Southern Region, located 180 km from the city of Mérida, the capital of the State.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 12th, residents of the Colonia Benito Juárez in the municipality of Peto were shocked to see seven lifeless dogs lying on the street.

The incident occurred on 39th Street (between 16 and 18) in the aforementioned neighborhood.

The people of Peto were very upset to see that seven dogs were lying dead in the middle of the street, apparently poisoned.

Agents of the Peto Municipal Police arrived at the site and cordoned off the area so that the corresponding authorities could carry out the respective procedures.

No arrests were made concerning this incident, and so far it is unknown who is responsible for this barbaric act.
