An accident on Federal Highway 307 in Quintana Roo leaves 8 dead

An eighteen-wheel truck collided with a truck on Federal Highway 307, while avoiding a truck that went in the opposite direction.

At least eight people died and another 10 were injured in Quintana Roo, as a result of an accident on federal highway 307.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, March 11th, on the Felipe Carrillo Puerto-Chetumal stretch.

The truck collided with a transportation service van, while avoiding a truck that invaded the opposite lane.

The crash caused the van to catch fire.

Emergency services were mobilized to the site to treat the victims and transfer them to a hospital.

The person responsible for the accident fled the scene.
