AMLO describes the assault on the National Palace as a “vulgar act of provocation”

López Obrador criticized the press coverage of the assault on the National Palace by Ayotzinapa protesters

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador described the assault on the National Palace carried out in the previous session by alleged Normalistas from Ayotzinapa as a “vulgar act of provocation.”

In the morning conference held on Thursday, March 7th, from Ciudad Victoria, in Tamaulipas, López Obrador criticized the information coverage that the vast majority of the media gave this event.

The Mexican president declared: “Our adversaries are desperate and are resorting to dirty war and acts like it used to be done in the past.”

“The truth is that the demand of the parents and mothers of the young people who disappeared from Ayotzinapa is a fair cause, but right-wing groups, conservatives, and opposition parties that are against the transformation have gotten involved in this unfortunate matter,” Oberador stated.

López Obrador stated that the demand of the fathers and mothers of the 43 normal students missing from Aypotzinapa “is fair”, and that his Government is working to find the young people as soon as possible.

AMLO sent a message to the young people of Ayotzinapa who participated in yesterday’s events at the National Palace, asking them not to allow themselves to be manipulated and not to act in favor of the conservatives in Mexico.
