A fugitive from the State of Mexico is arrested in Yucatán

For crimes against sexual intimacy and threats, investigating agents from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) arrested Efraín E. V., 29 years old, originally from Ixtapan de la Sal, State of Mexico, the entity where the events occurred.

The victim is a 28-year-old woman, to whom the subject had threatened to publish photographs and videos of her on social networks and media, taken without her consent, if she did not agree to leave the country.

Based on collaboration agreements, agents from the State Investigative Police (PEI) and the State Attorney General’s Office supported their Mexican counterparts in the location and capture.

The individual was hiding in Mérida and presented himself as a real estate executive. The investigating agents and prosecutors of Yucatán, after the arrest, handed him over to their counterparts in the State of Mexico, who will take him to that entity before the judge who issued the arrest warrant.
