The CCMX Business Meeting was a resounding success, holding at least 1,400 meetings between representatives of large purchasing firms and entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized companies in Yucatan

The event, organized by the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sefoet) of the State Government, in collaboration with the Competitiveness Center of Mexico (CCMX), took place at the Siglo XXI Convention Center.

From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., more than 150 companies from Yucatán, from various sectors, such as food and beverages, agribusiness, construction, crafts, textiles, jewelry and manufacturing, had the opportunity to present their products and services to representatives of prominent companies such as Chedraui, Coppel, Grupo Posadas, ADO Mobility, Cemex, Kekén and Bepensa, who traveled specifically for this meeting.

The Secretary of Economic Development and Labor, Ernesto Herrera Novelo, highlighted the importance of collaborative events like this. “This happens when the private initiative, the Government, the Academy, and the entire ecosystem work hand in hand,” he said.

Economic growth of Yucatán

In addition, he highlighted the economic growth of Yucatán, which has gone from 240,000 million pesos to 370,000 million pesos annually under the current administration.

During the event, Yucatán’s outstanding position at the national level in attracting investments was also highlighted, being third place according to studies by the National Council of the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry (Index).
