A man died while walking through the center of Mérida, which caused astonishment among the people who were with him.

The events were recorded around 10:00 in the morning on Sunday, February 18th when a person, approximately 45 years old, was walking along 56th Street in the center of the Yucatecan capital.

Suddenly, the now deceased, upon reaching the entrance to the Cecilio Chi passage, collapsed and convulsed in front of other pedestrians.

Immediately, witnesses called the emergency number 911, so police and municipal paramedics arrived and treated the subject. Unfortunately, they confirmed the man no longer had vital signs.

Authorities cordoned off the area while waiting for the State Attorney General’s Office staff to gather evidence and the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) to remove the body.

A first assessment by the paramedics indicated that it was an acute myocardial infarction.

This will be confirmed or ruled out with the corresponding law that will determine the causes that led to the death of the individual.

An hour and a half after the events, agents from Semefo arrived to carry out the respective diligence.

The event shocked people who saw the last moment of this man’s life when he was walking.
