A few days after the residents of Homún and Grupo Indignación held a demonstration and petition to the Secretary of Sustainable Development of the State (SDS), the head of this agency, Diana Pérez Jaumá, reported that she would comply with the sentence of the related federal court of first instance. with the construction and operation of a mega pig farm.
The official, who was interviewed today at the inauguration of the first edition of the National Expo for Comprehensive Management of Infectious Biological Waste that takes place at the HOI Hotel in Mérida, assured that the Secretariat in charge of her will comply with this sentence.
Although she did not say it verbatim, teacher Diana Pérez hinted that the SDS would not prolong this amparo trial or request a sentence review in another instance such as the collegiate circuit court.
He said that he is preparing for administrative legal compliance with the protection requested by the inhabitants of Homún against the construction of a mega pig farm in that municipality, which, according to previous and final federal rulings, did not comply with all environmental permits. This means that the pig farm will not be able to open or operate.
