National March for Democracy is held in cities across Mexico, including Merida

12 days to go before the formal start of the campaigns and less than three months for the elections of June 2, the March for Democracy took the spotlights nationwide.

This Sunday, February 18, before the start of the presidential race, the opposition in Mexico demonstrated in Mexico City and several cities of the country, for a free vote in the National March for Our Democracy 2024.

The march took place this Sunday at 10 am and thousands took to the streets around the country.

This event takes place on the same day that Claudia Sheinbaum, a virtual candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the coalition Sigamos Haciendo Historia, composed of Movimiento Regeneration Nacional (Morena), the Labour Party (PT), and the Green Environmental Party of Mexico (PVEM), formalizes her candidacy.

With 12 days to go before the formal start of the campaigns and less than three months before the June 2 elections, Mexican citizens marched and demonstrated on their own free will in favor of Democracy all across Mexico.
