The president of the Association of Export Maquiladoras of Yucatán (Index Yucatán), Alejandro Guerrero Lozano, highlighted the importance of continuous training as a fundamental tool for the development and competitiveness of companies in the region, which will accelerate Yucatecan exports in the first half of the year.
The business leader emphasized that “it is through training that the development of companies in the State of Yucatán can be enhanced, and for us it is of utmost importance to keep our human capital constantly updated.”
He highlighted the multiple benefits that come with having properly trained personnel. Among these, compliance with regulations, the prevention of fines and sanctions, as well as the possibility of increasing companies’ exports, stood out.
“We are immersed in a stage of great competition, not only at the national level, but also at the global level, and that is why it is necessary for companies to be prepared to face future challenges, to consolidate exports and for Yucatán to continue being a leading State,” Guerrero Lozano expressed.
Guerrero Lozano highlighted the commitment of the Yucatan maquiladora sector to the training and development of its personnel, recognizing that continuous training is key to adapting to a constantly evolving business environment and maintaining competitiveness in national and international markets.
He pointed out the above when announcing the seminar “Reforms and strategies for foreign trade”, which will take place this coming Friday, Feb. 9th, starting at 2 in the afternoon, at the facilities of the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM) and which will be conducted by foreign trade specialist, Dr. Eduardo Reyes Díaz Leal.
Among the topics that will be addressed are legal reforms, updating, strategic controlled areas, automotive industry, among others of vital importance for Yucatan’s export manufacturing.
The course is aimed not only at Index Yucatán partners, but also at foreign trade and administrative personnel, belonging to affiliated companies in the sector.
