Identities of Argentine tourists involved in fatal accident are revealed

The Secretariat of Citizen Security confirmed the identity of the people killed and injured in the accident that occurred on the Puerto Aventuras – Tulum highway.

The secretary reported that seven people were traveling in the vehicle, six Argentine tourists who were on vacation and staying in different hotels, and they organized to take a tour to Playa del Carmen. 

He clarified that the driver was also Argentine with residence in Playa del Carmen.

Raciel López, Attorney General of Quintana Roo; and Cristina Torres, Secretary of Government, assured that they are in collaboration with the Argentine consulate for the corresponding procedures.

The Argentines were: Maximiliano Liviano, 25 years old; Hernán Ezequiel Sibella, Silvia Vanesa Paola Díaz, Gerónimo Amengual and Nahuel López. 

Among the victims is also Fredy Quijano, driver of the ETransfers company van, who died hours after the incident, in a clinic in Playa del Carmen.

The two injured people are Micaela Papiermeister, 20 years old, with fractures c3, c4, and c5 of the spine and left femur, who is reported to be delicate, as well as Yamil Figallo, who is stable.

Cristina confirmed that Lautaro Filchtinsky, Consul of the Argentine Republic in Playa del Carmen, is watching over the injured to carry out the corresponding procedures and notify the next of kin.
