Maximum temperatures will reach 35° degrees Celsius (95° Fahrenheit) in Mérida.

“The cold is over, today’s dawn was the last with low temperatures in the state. The thermometers will go up, as drought and heat have begun”, reported meteorologist Juan Vázquez Montalvo, from the Institutional Committee for the Attention of Extreme Meteorological Phenomena (Ciafeme) of the UADY.

This Monday a cool to cold dawn was recorded, then a hot to very hot environment is expected for the rest of the day, clear skies with an easterly wind, and precipitation will no longer occur, only in case of a cold front.

The maximum temperatures will be 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in the city of Mérida and the rest of the state, the coast, while 30 to 32 degrees Celsius are expected on the coast.

The minimum temperatures in the state capital will be 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, on the coast from 17 to 19; and in the south of the state, the minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 12 to 14 degrees Celsius.
