Once again, the American entertainment company Disney chose Yucatán to be the headquarters and cluster to select young talent that will be able to work abroad and be a member of this international brand, as part of the exchange and English language practice programs, indicates a bulletin.

On this occasion, there were a total of 200 Yucatecan students from public universities in Mérida and other cities, as well as from various states, who will work abroad this summer.

In 2023, Disney chose Yucatán to recruit young people. It was previously held in the state in 2000 and is typically held in Mexico City.

The objective is that young people can be more prepared and competitive in the workplace by the time they leave their universities with the language and the essential characteristic of service that Disney provides to its employees, with a resume that has more extensive knowledge of the other cultures.

Alondra Hernández Contreras, a Uady student majoring in Marketing and International Business, said that participating in these interviews is an opportunity that she has dreamed of since she was in high school because, in addition to being able to access a job in an international company, she will be able to generate friendships and intercultural relationships.

“This opportunity excites me very much because you can make intercultural friendships, the connections that can be made, in addition to the fact that working at Disney is something strong on the resume,” she highlighted.
