These conditions, which include a moderate and strong northern event with wind gusts initially of 40 km/h intensifying up to 70 km/h, in addition to waves of 3 to 4 meters high and light and heavy rains, will persist for four days, that is, in the sunrises from the fifth to the eighth of this month.

Therefore, based on civil protection guidelines and instructions from the head of the state Executive, Mauricio Vila Dosal, this agency makes a careful call to the coastal population and the interior of the state to adopt the necessary prevention measures such as the protection of boats and protect families from falling temperatures.

The head of the agency, Enrique Alcocer Basto, urges the coastal population, the owners, and operators of fishing and tourist vessels to comply with the provisions issued by the Port Captaincy for their safety.

Likewise, the recommendation is in general to the population of the state in the face of the drop in temperatures expected from February 5 to 8, whose minimum temperatures will range from 08° to 12°C in the southern cone; from 13 to 17°C in the central municipalities; from 17 to 19°C in the north and above 19 in the coastal zone.

Based on data provided by the Procivy State Monitoring and Warning System and analysis of the projections, on February 4 the effects of the frontal system will begin to be felt with winds from the north and gusts of 40 to 50 km/h throughout the country. state.

The rains will occur during the morning and afternoon of moderate intensity accompanied by showers and electrical activity, especially in the northwest, northeast, and southwest municipalities of the state.

For February 5, the day of entry of the front with a mass of cold air, there will be a strong northern event, with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h throughout the state, waves of 3 to 4 meters, and afternoon rain of moderate to intense intensity. occasionally strong in the northwest, northeast, and center demarcations, and light rain in the rest of the territory.

The head of Procivy reiterates his call to the population to be careful of possible falling objects on roofs of buildings, cables, and tree branches in the face of strong winds and gusts, as well as due to the effect of rain.

Given the variations in thermometers, it is recommended to protect children, people with disabilities, and the elderly from sudden temperature changes; in this case, follow the recommendations issued by specialists in the state health sector.

Derived from the fifth winter storm that will move over the southern United States, the National Meteorological Service of the National Water Commission confirms that cold front No. 32 will extend over the Gulf of Mexico, causing isolated rains in the east and southeast of the country, in addition to the Yucatán Peninsula.
