A family of fishermen from Dzilam Bravo is rescued at high sea and taken to Río Lagartos

The family of fishermen from Dzilam de Bravo, who went missing last weekend, when they decided to go out fishing, despite the effects of Cold Front No.35, was found alive, after five days missing.

They were located by another fisherman, who took them to Río Lagartos where they were given food and medical attention.

The family is made up of Julián Betanzo Sosa, his wife Viridiana Pérez Salazar, and his son Julián Sosa Pérez, who went fishing on the boat “Calaco VI”.

According to what was found out, they were found by fisherman Martín Trujillo, who was aboard the boat “Oscarito 5”. 

The SSP Yucatan helicopter has been assisting in the search for stranded fishermen at sea.
