The Animaya Zoo will soon open the ‘Balam Balam’ Felinarium

The new Felinarium will feature more than 1,600 square meters dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of species

The mayor of Mérida, Alejandro Ruz Castro, announced that the Animaya Zoo will soon have a felinarium called Balam Balam.

The space will have 1,600 square meters and will be part of the Rescue and Rehabilitation of Wild Species program.

The new felinarium will have a lake, a labyrinth and an area of ​​green areas to guarantee the well-being of the animals.

In addition, it will have an aerial view so that visitors can better appreciate the space.

The mayor did not give an inauguration date and reported that he will be sharing progress through his social networks.
