Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi supervised the first works of “City Hall in Action” in 2024; a municipal program that aims to improve the streets and public spaces of the municipal seat and its communities.
On this occasion, the fourth section of the municipality, starting from 128th Street to 110th Street, from 31st Street to 37th Street, will be served by personnel from the agencies involved in launching the program.
Such as Prolimpia, Cadastre, Zofemat, Citizen Assistance, Promotion of Agricultural Development and Small Producers, Urban Mobility, Urban Development, Public Works, Ecological Police, SMAPAP, Ecology and Public Services.
Zacarías Curi was accompanied by the Municipal Union, Patricia Guadalupe Rosado González, as well as directors, who explained the series of works that their departments did in those streets, such as patching, cleaning, reforestation, pruning, maintenance of public lighting and sewers, cleaning wells and applying paint to fittings.
The mayor thanked the staff for their collaboration in making this initiative possible, which will benefit the people of Progreso, and invited the neighbors who witnessed the work to keep their sidewalks clean.
“City Hall in Action is there to reinforce the work that is done daily, but the collaboration of the neighbors is essential so that we can advance in other points,” he concluded.
