Progreso Mayor Julián Zacarías celebrated Día de Reyes with girls and boys

Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi and his wife, the honorary president of the DIF, Alma Rosa Gutiérrez Novelo, shared the traditional Three Wise Men’s Rosca with dozens of families, amidst music and dance by the students of the Casa de la Casa workshops. Culture.

The esplanade of said venue was the meeting point for girls and boys to welcome Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltazar, who did not hesitate to receive hugs and signs of affection from each of them.

The students of the Jazz, Classical Ballet, Adult, and Children’s Folklore workshops decorated the night and then gave way to cutting the great Rosca de Reyes that 19 local bakeries baked for the occasion, which children and adults certainly enjoyed very much.

In that sense, the mayor thanked all the bakeries for participating and making this date a special day for everyone.

The bakeries and pastry shops that shared a bagel with their special touch were Chabeli, El Divino Niño, María Elide, El Jordan, La Reyna, León, Rubi, La Fátima, Vanessa, El Cocal, La Lupita, El Angelito 1, Las Victorias, La Familia, Ale Marentes, El Mana, El Grito, Chabelitas and El Coral.

The evening concluded, but not before the mayor wished everyone present an excellent start to 2024 and reiterated that his administration will continue working to provide family events like these.

The municipal Trustee, Patricia Rosado González, councilors and directors also attended this event.
