New video-mapping show inaugurated in Valladolid

Valladolid has a new tourist attraction, the light and sound show in the Church of San Servacio.

This new video-mapping show was inaugurated by Governor Mauricio Vila for the enjoyment of Valladolid families and to attract more tourism to boost the economy of the inhabitants of this municipality.

Together with the host mayor, Alfredo Fernández Arceo, and Yucatecan families, Vila Dosal observed the first screening of this show that tells the story of the founding of Valladolid, which began performances tonight through an investment of 14 million pesos.

After a ritual to ask permission was captured on the façade of the church, the show began with illustrations of the prehistoric memory of the Peninsula with the impact of the meteorite, its origin, and its very particular nature; Afterwards, the Mayan cosmology of the cenotes is captured to give way to illustrations about the Mayan culture and the ancient city of Ek Balam.

Accompanied by the head of the Ministry of Tourism Promotion (Sefotur), Michelle Fridman and the general director of the Board of Cultural and Tourist Units of the State (Cultur), Mauricio Díaz Montalvo, the Governor also observed the history of the church of San Servacio , its elements and part of the colonial and later times, a projection that concluded with illustrations of Valladolid as a city with identity and traditions.

Visitors will be able to enjoy light and sound in the Church of San Servatius from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 8 pm with a duration of just over 14 minutes for each projection and in the languages ​​of Spanish and English, for the enjoyment of each and everyone.
