In order to reinforce public health actions, Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi recently supervised the work carried out in what will be the new headquarters of the Red Cross of Progress, accompanied by its president, Aurea Elena Gómez Novelo.

Zacarías Curi and Gómez Novelo reiterated that the work, which began on October 3, 2023, is carried out in three stages: the first focused on the construction of an area for parking ambulances, a rest space for volunteer first responders and a doctor’s office.

The second stage includes the creation of a roof that will protect one of the ambulance parking areas. This roof will serve as a base for the future construction of the third phase.

The final phase of the project will cover the construction of the administrative area and a multipurpose room; This room will be used to carry out training, meetings, and various activities aimed at fundraising, and thus strengthen the operations of the Mexican Red Cross in Progreso.

For all of the above, both authorities highlighted the importance of citizens knowing about these works and valuing the effort, not only to make the project possible but also of the women and men who provide their services daily for safety and well-being. of the community in emergencies.

Finally, Zacarías Curi reiterated that the new headquarters, located at 101st Street, 64th, and 68th in the Brisas Fractionation, will provide the institution with a modern and functional infrastructure, which will allow for improving the quality of the medical care and relief services provided by the Cross. Red to progressives.
