Mauricio Vila Dosal present at the inauguration of FITUR’s Mexico Pavillion

Yucatán is having strong participation at Spain’s International Tourism Fair (Fitur), one of the most important events in the industry and the largest in Europe, where Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal is promoting the region as an ideal destination to visit, promoting tourism and investments that generate jobs and strengthen the economy of all Yucatecan families.

In the city of Madrid, Spain, the Governor and the head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Federal Government, Miguel Torruco Marqués, participated in the opening day of the Mexico Pavilion in this 45th edition of the Fair, where the state has a broad presence, bringing to that point of the old continent a piece of what the entity offers its visitors.

As part of its activities during Fitur, Vila Dosal signed a letter of commitment with the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to continue making Yucatán a more sustainable destination with responsible and environmentally friendly tourism growth. environment through an international initiative that aims to improve practices in this area in the hotel sector.

With the participation of Yucatán in this global showcase, Vila Dosal continues to promote the attractions of the state, seeking to position the destination as one of the most important in the country.

There, the Governor seeks to generate more business meetings and collaboration agreements with other sites, airlines, European wholesale agencies and more, to strengthen the local offer in the market of that continent and increase the number of visitors.

At the inaugural ribbon cutting, Vila Dosal was with the Governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinosa; the ambassador of Mexico in Spain, Quirino Ordaz Coppel; and the Minister of Industry and Tourism of the Government of Spain, Jordi Hereu.
