The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) formulated the accusation against AMV for the crime of qualified theft, reported after he was caught stealing clothing garments in a department store inside the Plaza Altabrisa shopping mall.
The hearing took place in the Second Control Court of the Oral Justice Center of Mérida, where the accused requested his situation to be resolved within the constitutional deadline, so the judge summoned the parties to continue the hearing on January 5.
The events, compiled in the investigation folder of the criminal case 438/2023, occurred on December 29, when the accused entered the department store and took possession of a sports set that included a jacket and pants, as well as several t-shirts. and other clothing items. Later, he tried to leave the scene but was detained by agents of the Ministry of Public Security.
Finally, the defense presented arguments to support the request for precautionary measures and after the Judge’s analysis, it was determined that the accused must go to sign before the State Center for Precautionary Measures, make the payment of a financial guarantee, and prohibited approach the scene of the incident throughout the process.
