López Obrador assured that the real tragedy is what is being experienced in the United States with the fentanyl crisis.
Mexican journalist Jorge Ramos questioned Andrés Manuel López Obrador about the violence during his six-year term and the president showed his “other data” to respond that Mexico is peaceful.

Ramos, a contributor to Reforma and Univisión, attended the morning conference at the National Palace this Monday, where he displayed posters with numbers of violence during López Obrador’s mandate.

The journalist stated ( according to the official data he collected ) that during the federal Obrador’s six-year term there have been:
– 166 thousand 193 dead.
– 4 thousand 892 femicides.
– 43 murders of journalists.
Given this, the president showed Ramos a graph with his “other data” stating that the numbers can be interpreted depending on “where you grab them . “
The head of the federal Executive assured that the real tragedy is not what Mexico is suffering, but rather what is being experienced in the United States with the fentanyl crisis.
