In a session of the Constitutional Points and Government Commission, the draft opinions of the initiatives to modify the State Constitution and the Public Administration Code and issue the Law that Regulates the Contracting of Comprehensive Long-Term Investment Projects for State Public Entities and the Yucatán Energy and Maritime Operator, a Variable Capital Stock Company with Majority State Participation.
Representative Víctor Hugo Lozano Poveda highlighted that the approval is the result of work through dialogue to reach agreements that always benefit the Yucatecans, making it clear that political differences between groups are put aside to enrich legislative products with the proposals from each one and achieve a vote in which the deputies join.
“Today we have the approval of a constitutional reform regarding the comprehensive projects of the Puerto de Altura de Progreso and the creation of a new body that will be in charge of the viability of the project,” he said.
Likewise, he explained that these reforms represent a great trigger for the state’s economy, generating more and better well-paid jobs, as well as for tourism by receiving cruise ships with greater passenger capacity.
Lozano Poveda pointed out that this gives the State the necessary tools so that changes in state and federal administrations do not generate future effects.
“Only in Yucatán can we set this example by putting ourselves to work for society and generating great results,” he added.
It is worth mentioning that the draft opinions will be put up for discussion and approval before the legislators of the LXIII Legislature in the next session.
