Couple arrested for homicide in Cancun

A couple was arrested in Cancun, due to their alleged involvement in at least two homicides, including that of a gardener and a female guard.

Related to at least two homicides among other crimes, a couple was arrested in Cancun, according to the first investigations that the authorities released, two of their victims are a gardener and the female custodian executed when she arrived at the Social Reintegration Center ( Cereso) in Benito Juárez, on December 15.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) through a statement announced that they complied with the arrest warrant against Ángela Estefanía “N” and Misael “N”, once they were elements of the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Transit (SMSPyT) in conjunction with the State Police, who detained them in the middle of an operation.

The suspects were carrying a firearm, which when examined tested positive with the evidence collected by Expert Services on December 2 and 15 of this year, when a man by trade as a gardener was shot dead near the prison and a female custodian who arrived to carry out her duties when she was surprised.

Given these events, an arrest warrant was issued for Ángela Estefanía “N” and Misael “N” and they were placed at the disposal of the authority that requested them for their alleged participation in the commission of acts that could constitute the crime of qualified homicide, in grievance of two victims.
