The Guadalajara Police announced through their X account (formerly Twitter) that the Missing Persons Search Unit (UBPD) of the capital of Jalisco carried out the rescue of a man who had already been trapped in the sewer system of the Santa Cecilia neighborhood.

Neighbors reported that they heard a man calling for help when he found himself trapped in the drain. After confirming that there was a man, police agents mobilized to carry out rescue maneuvers.

According to what was reported, the 44-year-old man explained that four days ago he entered the sewage system near the intersection of Lorenzo Barcelata and Agustín Lara. However, he could no longer get out and since then he had been walking through the ducts to look for a way out, until he found a lid that he could move to call for help.

Once the man was outside, they provided him with medical attention. The affected person was suffering from malnutrition and dehydration due to the lack of food and water during the days he remained in the area.
