On Thursday, January 4th, agents and investigative prosecutors from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) executed an arrest warrant against José Enrique AZ, 67 years old, in the town of Colonia Yucatán, Tizimín.

The subject is accused of the crime of equal rape against a 15-year-old minor, his wife’s daughter.

Based on the complaint filed by the teenager’s mother, and the evidence obtained and presented to a judge by the State Investigative Police (PEI) and the Public Ministry, the probable responsibility of the individual in the events is accredited.

It is established in the investigation file that in December 2021 and January 2022, the accused sexually abused the minor, forcing her under threats.

The mother only found out that her daughter was pregnant and told her what happened, as she hardly ever went out of the property they lived in. After an interrogation, the young girl declared that she was repeatedly raped by his motner’s sentimental partner.

Investigating agents and prosecutors detained the subject and transferred him to the Social Reintegration Center (Cereso) in Ebtún, Valladolid, where he was placed at the disposal of the judge who issued the arrest warrant.
