Vehicle catches fire inside a paint shop in Valladolid, Yucatán

In a paint shop in Valladolid‘s Fernando Novelo neighborhood, a car suddenly caught fire, so residents of the area immediately called the emergency number 911.

For reasons unknown until now, a private compact vehicle caught fire in an automotive paint shop in the Fernando Novelo neighborhood of Valladolid on Thursday, December 21st, around noon.

According to witnesses, the car fire occurred inside the establishment. Due to this situation, officers of the Municipal Police immediately arrived at the site, who corroborated the report that had been sent to the base and subsequently reported it to the other corresponding authorities.

Minutes later, elements of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) arrived at the scene, accompanied by firefighters from the same corporation, who were in charge of putting out the enormous tongues of fire that had practically already enveloped almost the entire vehicle in question.

Material damage

Before the arrival of the police authorities and swallowing smoke, friends, acquaintances and neighbors helped to try to put out the fire with buckets full of water, which prevented the flames from spreading throughout the premises and ending with greater damage.

Once the accident was controlled, it was reported that the car was a total loss and that the cause of what caused the fire was not known.
