Tiktoker taxi driver is murdered during live streaming in Ciudad Juárez

Rafa Wayne, a well-known influencer and platform driver, was murdered during the early hours of this Tuesday in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

The driver, unofficially identified as Rafael Díaz and better known as Rafa Wayne, had become one of the most popular platform drivers on this border since he used to broadcast his trips on some social networks and interact with his followers while they were traveling took him to his destination.

The incident occurred around 2 am last Tuesday December 1st, in the Parajes del Sol neighborhood in Ciudad Juárez. Rafa was driving his Nissan Versa vehicle when two men threatened him at gunpoint him while he was streaming on TikTok.

There is even a fragment of the transmission when they ask him for his cell phone and the password and after that, a gunshot is heard, and the signal is cut off.

At the moment, no arrests have been reported in this incident.

Platform drivers met at the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) in Ciudad Juárez to demand justice for this incident. Taxi drivers claim that they are constant victims of assault on the border. This event occurred almost a month after the photographer of El Heraldo de Juárez, Ismael Villagómez, was also murdered while working at dawn as a platform driver.
